1 Corinthians 6:3 asks a question — Know ye not that we shall judge angels? I wanted to take a class or two and discuss a few thoughts and some great scriptures to give us a working understanding of angels and their different offices and abilities. Our brief look at angels is by no means an exhaustive study. I simply want to open our understanding somewhat, to see that we have an incredible mission ahead of us in the millennium and eternity future.
Angels were mentioned in Job 38:4-7 as being witnesses to the creation of the earth. We looked at the fall of Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12-20; Ezekiel 28:11-17) drawing one third of the angels of heaven with him (Revelation 12:3-4), and how Jesus made the declaration that he was an eye witness to the fall of Satan — Luke 10:17-18. Next week, we will continue our study of Angels from 30,000 feet. It will be truly a fun time in God’s Word.
