I know it was shocking, but we were able to close out chapter 7 today! The Lord wants us to focus our attention on contentment and growing into Christlikeness, and not giving in to cravings of this world. The statement on the board is so appropriate in this age of carnal Christianity: “Hold lightly to the temporal things of this world. Hold tightly to the eternal things that last forever — the Word of God and the souls of men.”
In v.25-40, we see that our priorities, whether married or single should always be to glorify God. If you are single, serve God in your singleness. If you are married, serve God in your marriage by serving your spouse and family! Both equally glorify the Lord, and both bring reward in your life. Whatever your state, seek to honor God!
