We covered two parables in Matthew 13:31-33 today – the parable of the mustard seed and the parable of the leaven. We unpacked a lot of doctrine from these two parables concerning the false kingdom of Heaven (literal, physical kingdom) during the time of absence of Messiah King Jesus from his ascension in Acts One till his return at the 2nd Advent in Revelation 19. Mark 4:30-32 and Luke 13:18-19 record the same parable, only making reference to the kingdom of God, which is the spiritual kingdom that was offered in the ministry of Christ, and became the spiritual reality of the dispensation of the grace of God also known as the Church Age.
The false kingdom of heaven, which Satan rules, as the prince of the power of the air, is in operation until Jesus returns. The spiritual kingdom of God is in operation through the body of Christ until the rapture of the Church Age saints. There will be a continuation of kingdom of God through the tribulation saints until Jesus comes.
The mustard seed trees of the two kingdoms both grow during this time of separation of the King from the kingdom. It is amazing that the minions of Satan, the fowls of the air, roost in the branches of both kingdoms, waiting for the seed of the word of God to be sown, and then swoop down and devour the seed that falls on the wayside before it can take root.
We took a deep-dive into scripture to identify the woman who hid leaven in three measures of meal until all was leavened. “That woman” has polluted both the physical kingdom of men, and the spiritual kingdom of Christendom. The leaven of sexual immorality has tainted Christianity (1 Corinthians 3:1-8), and the leaven of the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and Sadducees through false doctrine has permeated Christendom from the beginning.
Mark 8:15: And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees (false doctrine), and of the leaven of Herod (sexual immorality – Matthew 14:1-8).
“That woman” is the Babylon Mystery Religion that is described in Revelation 17!
“That woman” is given a name in Revelation 2:18-23 – JEZEBEL! Jezebel shows up in 1 Kings 16:31, as King Ahab's wife. Her name means Wife of Baal or Daughter of Baal. She was a high priestess of the Babylon Mystery Religion. Her father, Ethbaal, which means “with Baal” was a high priest of the mystery religion that has leavened all of Christendom and the world geopolitical economic system we are currently experiencing.
This world system is on a collision course with destiny, but that destiny is to be judged by King of kings and Lord of lords when He returns and establishes His forever kingdom, beginning with the 1,000 year kingdom of heaven on earth. These truly are exciting times!
