RDTW week 182 Seeing Scripture through the Lens of the Mystery

Today, we were able to look at several scriptures through the lens of the Mystery, seeking to rightly divide the scriptures based upon where they are in relation to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those things that were written before the dispensation of the grace of God, were written for our learning, and the letters of the Apostle Paul are direct revelation commandments of the Lord that were given to our Apostle to instruct us. 1 Corinthians 14:37-38

It is always critical to remind ourselves of where we are in God's celestial time table, and how to divide the scripture out according to the who, what, when, where, and how of that scripture. Please read Romans 11:25, 1 Corinthians 2:7-8, and Ephesians 3:1-7 to give you a clear foundation of how to study scripture and recognize what is written to us as opposed to what is written for us.

Colossians 1:25-29:
25: Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26: Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
A change of a dispensation brings a change of an administration, and a change of an administration brings a change of how things operate. We are seeing changes from the current administration of our government in preparation for the new administration. The same thing happens in our Bible. The seven major dispensations of scripture have revealed how God has dealt with mankind, and how each successive dispensation God progressively reveals his plan for man, as well our world.

This has helped us to divide the truth that came before the cross from the truth that came after the cross. We finished our study of the Syro-Phonecian woman and how she, being a Gentile, besought the Lord in his earthly ministry, as opposed to how we receive the grace of God after his death, burial, and resurrection. There is no difference between the Jew and Gentile in this dispensation of the grace of God. Romans 10:12-13, Ephesians 2:11-13

Studying the Bible through the lens of the Mystery helps to understand scriptures like Matthew 16:13-20, and Peter's declaration that Jesus is the Messiah. Knowing that the dispensation of the grace of God / the Mystery was hidden from ages and from generations, and that Jesus was focused on the lost sheep of the house of Israel, when he spoke of building his church upon the rock of himself (1 Corinthians 3:10-11), he was speaking of the kingdom assembly. The gates of hell would not prevail against it because he had already been victorious over the beast and the false prophet, and Satan will have been cast into the bottomless pit for the entire millennium. Please see Matthew 25:31-46, Revelation 19:19-21, and Revelation 20:1-3.

When people wrongly divide scripture, they come to conclusions that lead to incorrect doctrine. We will pursue this when we return on January 5, 2025. There is no Sunday School this coming week, December 29, 2024.
