Revelation 4B The Rapture

Yesterday we had quite a time discussing so much about the rapture, the tribulation, heaven, and more.  It was quite a time.

I did want to make a clarification about the “virgins” of Matthew 25:1-13.  In our conversation, I said there were 10 wise virgins and 10 foolish virgins.  Scripture says there are 10 total — 5 wise and 5 foolish.  The “virgins” picture the nation of Israel in the tribulation.  It clearly shows that not all of the Jews will reject the antichrist and turn to Messiah Jesus.  V.12 says “…I know you not.”  This is the same answer He gives in Mat 7:22-23  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Clearly, this is the end of the tribulation, when the 2nd Advent occurs, and Jesus is cleansing the world of all that is wicked and rebellious and selfish.  So, we see that the Bible gives us quite a few examples of the people who will go into the millennium and those who will be rejected.  The wise virgins and foolish virgins, the wheat and the tares, the good fish and bad fish, the sheep and the goats.

There is so much that bears studying out, and I am sure that we will get to as we continue digging into the Word together.  Please remember to Read Isaiah 6 and Ezekiel 1 to get an Old Testament understanding of heaven and God’s throne, and even the creatures that are in heaven.  I look forward to our study this coming Sunday!
