It is an incredible journey from our new birth in Christ to our mature walk with our Savior. Understanding the power of the atonement in our daily walk empowers us to be the soldiers we are chosen to be. Christ died for our sins, as our substitute, as our advocate, as our mediator, and, especially as our Savior!
Jesus said in John 15:16: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Paul confirmed our position in the Kingdom of God in 2 Timothy 2:3-4: Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
In our discussion, we talked about Israel in the tribulation, and her salvation at the 2nd Advent. I do want to be clear that Israel’s spiritual salvation comes through being healed of her spiritual blindness, seeing the abomination of desolation. Her eyes are opened, and she flees to the wilderness to be cared for, by God for 3 1/2 years. Please search it out in Zechariah 13:8, Matthew 24:15-21, Revelation 12:6-17, Romans 11:25-27. Her obedience, in fleeing to the wilderness, is proof of her salvation. But, God makes it clear that the elect or remnant of Israel’s 12 tribes will be physically saved, at the 2nd Advent Isaiah 63:1-6; Revelation 19:11-21
Next week, we will look at the witnesses of the resurrection and following , building the case for our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ!
