1 Corinthians Week 146

Our study today brought us through the testimony of Paul, and his encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, as well as understanding who James and Peter addressed their letters to — the dispersed, persecuted believers from the church in Jerusalem.  Saul of Tarsus was responsible for such a great persecution of believers, killing Stephen and many others, that people fled to all parts of the Roman empire.

The picture of the board reveals the 3 applications of Bible study, for any serious student to remember when reading and applying the truths of the Word to one’s daily life.  The simplicity of scripture, clearly understood, is our greatest ally and weapon for our spiritual warfare we wage everyday.

2 Timothy 2:1-4: Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
