1 Corinthians week 172

We have now studied through the difference between the terrestrial (physical – trapped by time and space) and the celestial (spiritual – without the restraints of the laws of science), and the difference between the image of the earthy (fallen Adam’s image — a dead spirit) and the image of the heavenly (the quickening spirit of the last Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ). As we have borne the image of fallen Adam, the sin nature that must be redeemed in order to be restored (Romans 5:12 & 6:23); once we are born again, we bear the image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Romans 8:28-30).  We immediately receive eternal life, justified – declared righteous, as though we had never sinned, eternally in the presence of God the Father.  This can only happen through the miracle of salvation.  It is totally the gift of God, saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9)!  This is a guaranteed hope, based on the promise of God (Titus 1:2 & 2:13-14).

Next week, we will move into the Mystery of the rapture of the Church Age saints!
