We have finally closed out our study of 1 Corinthians! It only took 179 weeks, which covers nearly 3 1/2 years. Our study of chapter 16 was quite interesting with Paul’s admonition to the church to treat Timothy with the same respect they gave Paul. His youth was not to be a hinderance to his ability to minister to the church.
1 Timothy 4:12: Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Paul also gave the church, and us, by default, five commands to guide our daily lives in this dispensation of grace.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14: Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. Let all your things be done with charity.
It is our duty, as the redeemed of this age, to seek to be who we should be. in such a time as this, so that we will do what we should do! Next week, we will begin our walk through the Bible, using the Bible Study Chart that will be provided.
