We completed chapter 5, even though it seemed an impossible task! Paul clarifies our responsibility of keeping our outreach to the world, and holding each other to the higher standard of Christ.
Romans 13:13-14, 15:1-3
The types of sinful activities in v. 9-11 are the same, because the old man always craves fleshly things, whether a lost person in the world, or a saved person in the church. The old man is the old man! We are compelled everyday to put off the old man and his deeds and put on the Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 3:9-15
Galatians 6:1-3 and Ephesians 4:29-32 remind us that we are to be ready to lift up a fallen brother of sister, because it could be us that needs to be lifted up. Reconciliation and restoration are always the goal!
