1 Corinthians Week 65

Verses 12-17 bring great encouragement to believers who have spouses that are not saved.  There is always hope that Christ will convict and save the unbelieving spouse through the chaste lifestyle of the believer.

The incredible picture of the lamb of sacrifice in Exodus 12, becoming a personal sacrifice to the family, helps us understand what Christ has done for us.  He is a lamb of sacrifice, the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29), and ultimately, he is your lamb of sacrifice — Exodus 12:1-5.

Exodus 13:13 is the picture of Christ being the personal sacrifice for each of us.  It is an incredible picture concerning the relationship between a wild and rebellious ass and an innocent lamb..  Deuteronomy 22:10 gives us the picture of the spiritual reality of not being unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18  warns us about all manner of relationships with the world, whether it be marriage, or business — partnership with unbelievers could have dangerous consequences.

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
