Today, we began our journey through the Word concerning the danger of knowledge without understanding. We did a very quick study of the person of Jezebel and how she was connected to the woman in Revelation 2:20 — Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Here is a woman who calls herself a prophetess, teaching and seducing believers to commit spiritual fornication drawn into idolatry, and to eat or consume things wrapped up in idolatry. We live in a country of consumerism eating up all that our culture tells us we must have for comfort and enjoyment.
This Jezebel is connected to the woman in Matthew 13:33 — Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. They have the same goal as Jezebel in 1 Kings 16:31-33, pollute the worship through false doctrine. Baal worship was rampant in Israel, and permeated all the nation. False doctrine and false teachers is rampant in this Laodicean age of the church!
Regardless of the names, whether Nimrod, Semiramis, and Tammuz, Baal, Ashteroth, and Tammuz, or Osiris, Isis, and Horus, and many more deity trinities, they all seek to destroy true worship. Semiramis was known as the “queen of heaven” and Tammuz is her virgin born son.
Ezekiel 8:14 — Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
Jeremiah 7:18 — The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
Jeremiah 44:17-19, 25 — But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil. But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine. And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men? Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
The Babylon Mystery Religion is not only something from the Old Testament, it is something that will be around at the end of the Tribulation. Revelation 17 reveals the great Whore who is the embodiment of Jezebel!
