1 Corinthians Week 30

We are continuing in our study of the 12 Mysteries in the Bible.  I am so grateful that the mysteries are not mysterious.  We have been given a stewardship of the mysteries that were hidden in the past ages.  These mysteries are revealed and explained to us in such a manner that we cannot help but believe what scripture says about these mysteries.

Your Chapter 4 outline has seven mysteries listed, and the picture of our board has the remaining five.  Walking through the Babylon Mystery religion, the world religious-political system that the antichrist will use to come to power, is manifested throughout scripture, as the idolatrous religions that continually manifested in Old Testament Israel, usually dealing with Baal worship, but other idol worship is mentioned.

The Babylon Mystery religion, personified in the life of Jezebel, as we discussed this morning, the religion of the great whore – Revelation 17-18, is all about the self-proclaimed “Queen of Heaven” (Semiramis – Jeremiah 7:18, 44:17-19, 25) and her son, “virgin born” Tammuz (Ezekiel 8:14).  It is a great personal study, because it mirrors Roman Catholicism and their declaration of Mary given the title “Queen of Heaven.”

We also covered the Mystery of God’s Will (Ephesians 1:9-12; Romans 8:28-32), revealing that God has a plan for humanity revealed to us, that He will fulfill His promise to us of being gathered to Him, also known as the blessed hope in Titus (Titus 1:2, 2:13).

Stay faithful in your personal study of God’s Word, and watch what God will do in your life to strengthen and settle you in your inner man. 1 Peter 5:10-11
