Today, we studied Acts 24:11-16, where Paul was falsely accused of heresy by the religious leaders in Jerusalem. Paul revealed that through progressive revelation delivered personally to him by our Lord, that Moses and the prophets revealed Christ and the hope of the resurrection. Heresy is the denial of revealed truth, which Paul was not guilty of. Greater truth had been revealed to him that they refused to accept. Paul's testimony in Galatians 1:11-18 proves out that his understanding of the scriptures as a student of Gamaliel (Acts 22:3), was enhanced, after his salvation, by his three year study course in Arabia led by the Lord and the Holy Spirit. The gospel, as defined by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, is the only hope of peace and forgiveness for this world! The most documented death in the history of the world is the crucifixion of Christ. Jesus declared himself to be man's only hope of entering heaven. John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Salvation is the work of God on man's behalf. God the Father delivered up his only begotten Son, who tasted death for us all, that we might be saved! Jesus did not come to rehabilitate mankind. He came to make dead men alive! We are new creatures in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 2 Corinthians 5:21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. I have given you a homework assignment for next Sunday. Please read Hebrews 11, paying attention to how each person expressed their faith in this “Faith Chapter.” Please remember everyone throughout history was saved by grace through faith. The works they exhibited made their faith perfect or complete. We will use our chart / divine timeline to identify how the expression of faith changed throughout history. It will be a wonderful study. Remember, the prophetic program concerning Israel is in “timeout” during this dispensation of the grace of God, aka the mystery program. The prophetic program will resume when the mystery period closes at the rapture of the Church Age saints.
