RDTW week 211 The Role of Prophecy in Bible Study Part 3

Since we were not able to study out the final verse of Daniel, I was compelled to pick up there and continue this incredible study of the resurrection, which for us is the blessed hope.

Daniel 12:13: Daniel is given the promise of the resurrection and a place in the kingdom. He will sleep / die, but will be resurrected and stand in his lot at the end of days! He is given the same promise that Job claimed in Job 19:25-27: For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

The promise of the resurrection of the Old Testament saints is just as real as the promise of our resurrection at the Day of Christ, the rapture of all the Church Age saints that closes out the mystery program, and puts the prophetic program back at “time in” till Daniel’s 70th week is fulfilled. Daniel and Job are both waiting to return at the 2nd Advent and receive their reward as faithful stewards, ready to serve in the kingdom of Messiah King Jesus

We who are part of the mystery program, are watching and waiting for the rapture, the catching away of the Church Age saints to the judgment seat of Christ where we will receive our reward for our stewardship of the mysteries. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 Paul is very clear in 2 Timothy 4:6-8 that there is a reward to all who love his appearing!

The Five Crowns / Rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ:

The Crown of Life: the martyr’s crown…Revelation 2:10

The Crown Incorruptible: for temperance / discipline / self control…1 Corinthians 9:25

The Crown of Righteousness: for loving the appearing of Christ at the rapture…2 Timothy 4:8

The Crown of Glory: given to those who lead in the church with integrity…1 Peter 5:4

The Crown of Rejoicing: for being a faithful witness and investing truth and time in those who come to faith…1 Thessalonians 2:19

These crowns are made up of the eternal elements found in 1 Corinthians 3:10-15: gold, silver, and precious stones.

We have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace! Ephesians 1:7

We are accepted in the beloved! Ephesians 1:6

We are complete in Him! Colossians 2:10

To depart and to be with Christ is far better than anything this world can offer! Philippians 1:23

Philippians 3:20-21: For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

I am looking forward to finishing our study of the role of prophecy in Bible study next Sunday!
