Revelation 1:19: Write the things which thou hast seen (chapters 2-3), and the things which are (chapters 4-19), and the things which shall be hereafter (chapters 20-22);
Today marked our fourth week of our rapid overview of the tribulation by looking at the last of the seven personages revealed in Revelation 12-18 and the seven last plagues described in Revelation 15-16. We will study out the “things which shall be hereafter” the events of eternity future when we return to class on January 11, 2026. I felt it necessary to spend an adequate amount of time to discuss chapters 17-18 and the Babylon Mystery Religion that is exposed and condemned by the Lord Jesus Christ and given to John to write down for the rest of us to be alert to.
In Revelation 17-18 John describes the “great whore” religious system that has been influencing the world's religions and nations since the Garden of Eden. This system is described as sitting upon many waters, which is later described as being worldwide in it's influence. She is described as “THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” This tells us that all of the world's false religions born of her. Since Satan was told that the virgin born Son of God was going to conquer him, in the garden, his goal has been to pollute the world's religions with false virgin born gods. We listed some in greater detail in class:
1200BC: Krishna, virgin born son of Devaki on December 25th.
1170BC: Attis of Phrygia, virgin born on December 25th.
1160BC: Tammuz of Syria, virgin born to Semiramis (queen of heaven) on December 25th.
600BC: Buddha Sakia (Muni) of India, virgin born son of Maya on December 25th.
600BC: Mithras of Persia, virgin born on December 25th. This is the cult of the Roman legions and the imperial court until it was replaced by Christianity. Mithras was worshiped as a savior figure and mediator between God and man.
547BC: Prometheus or Aeschylus of Caucasus, was born on December 25th.
Dionysus, son of Zeus, was virgin born on December 25th.
There are more false gods throughout the ages that are all part of the Babylon Mystery Religion, and hopefully, you have a clearer picture as to the worldwide reach this clearly described “Mother of Harlots” is. Please look at the humorous “Christmas Card” from the gods born around December 25th attached below. Please refer to Genesis 3:15, 10:8-11, and 11:1-9 concerning the role of Nimrod in sowing the seeds of the BMR throughout the world.
Pope Julius I in 350AD proclaimed December 25th to be the day to celebrate the birth of Christ, in an attempt to unite pagan Rome and its festivals to papal / Christian Rome. The marriage of the Church to the world fits perfectly with the letter to Pergamos (much marriage) in Revelation 2:12-17 (325AD - 500AD) and the rule of Constantine. “That woman Jezebel” mentioned in the letter to Thyatira in chapter 2:18-29, also represents the infiltration of the Babylon Mystery Religion into the local church. It reminds us to always be vigilant in protecting the teaching of the Word of God, that it is doctrinally sound! We are to always give attention to sound doctrine.
It is truly the most dangerous enemy to Christianity, because it has so many similarities, and yet condemns people to hell who trust in religion instead of the finished work of Christ on Calvary. His substitutionary death, burial, and victorious resurrection put Satan on notice that his time as the god of this world is short. It will soon come to an end!
