Ephesians 2:10 RDTW 75

The plan was to be moving through Ephesians 2 at a much quicker pace, but, alas, we are moving at the pace we are given. Today, we were able to read through verse 10. There is so much to unpack in these verses.

GRACE and MERCY are a major focus in this chapter!

Grace is unmerited favor – nothing earned or deserved. The acronym for grace is God's Riches At Christ's Expense. Mercy is not receiving what we deserve.

Titus 3:5-7: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

V.10 – As born again believers, we are responsible to be faithful stewards and be zealous of good works. We have been created in Christ Jesus unto good works!

Titus 2:11-14: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1 Corinthians 4:1-2: Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
