Ephesians 3 RDTW 76

After taking a brief segue into Exodus 25-30 and Hebrews 9, comparing the tabernacle in the wilderness to the one made without hands in heaven, we got into Ephesians 3, and the mystery of Christ in this mystery period known as the dispensation of grace. Paul reminds us that his gospel / our gospel was given to him by revelation.

Galatians 1:11-12: But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:2: And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

Acts 15 and Galatians 2 are companion scriptures that record the events of the council of Jerusalem. Paul's gospel is the gospel of grace by which both Jew and Gentile alike in this dispensation are saved! There is no difference between the Jew and the Gentile in how they are saved in this Age of Grace! All must come into relationship with God by grace through faith!

This gospel is known as the gospel of the uncircumcision in Galatians 2:7-9: But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

The gospel of the circumcision faded out by the end of the first century, with the apostles, giving way to Paul's gospel of revelation by the Lord Jesus Christ. He shared this new gospel with Peter, James, and John, and they were able to observe it in action!

Ephesians 2:18-22: For through him we both (Jew and Gentile) have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 3:10-11: According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Any religion that bases its belief system on anyone other than Jesus Christ, and his finished work on Calvary, is a doomed religion!
