Ephesians 1- 3 gives us the doctrine / wealth / belief structure we have in this Mystery period, known as the Dispensation of the Grace of God. Ephesians 4 – 6 gives us the duty / walk / behavior outlined very specifically that we are to pattern our lives after. In chapter 4, Paul outlines Life in the Body. In chapter 5, Paul outlines Life in the Family. In chapter 6, Paul outlines Life in the Trenches. Today, we tackled Ephesians 6:1-9, focusing on the purpose of the family unit – the responsibility of obedience and honor of children toward their parents, and the parents toward their children to train them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, as well as the responsibility of employees and employers. Please pay close attention to the board, which has the companion scripture Colossians 3:17-25, that mirrors, in many respects, Ephesians 4 – 6. As you watch the video, please avail yourself to the board, and follow along in the scripture. Colossians 3:17, 23-24: And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
