Our study on April 19 was quite informative. We took a few moments to review the eternal condition of Old Testament saints, which in turn reveals the condition of tribulation saints and millennial saints (those who do not follow Satan in his final rebellion described in Revelation 20:7-9). Job 19:25-27 and Daniel 12:13 help to clarify that resurrected saints, other than we who are saved in the Church Age, will have perfect mortal bodies that will require eating the fruit of the tree of life. Moses died in the wilderness and resurrected, and Elijah was taken to heaven without seeing death. They both met with the Lord Jesus on the mount of transfiguration in Matthew 17, and will be the two witnesses of Revelation 11, where they will be killed and resurrected back to life, and called up to heaven, still mortal, but like Adam before the fall.
We already know the eternal condition of the Church Age saints. We shall be changed from mortal to immortal, from corruptible flesh to incorruptible eternal flesh. We shall be just like Christ in his resurrected state. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:50-54, 1 Corinthians 3:8-15
A Brief Overview:
1. The rapture of the Church is imminent! A. We will go to the reward judgment in heaven. 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 B. We will be prepared for the wedding supper of the Lamb during Daniel's 70th week. 2. The world, and Israel in particular, will experience the most devastating time in world history during this last seven years of man's rule on earth. A. The first three and a half years will be generally peaceful until the abomination of desolation occurs. Matthew 24:4-21, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 B. All the judgments described in Revelation will be poured out upon the world with the goal of bringing Israel to repentance and restoration of fellowship with God. The remnant flees to the wilderness where God sustains them. Revelation 12:6,14 3. The 2nd Advent occurs at the end of the seven year tribulation period. Revelation 19:11-21 A. The battle of Armageddon occurs destroying the world's armies. B. The systematic removal of all the wicked occurs through the series of judgments described in Matthew 7:21-23, 13:37-43, 47-50, 24:37-42, 25:31-46 C. All of the righteous people, both Jews and Gentiles will enter the millennial kingdom of Messiah King Jesus. (Matthew 5:1-10, 7:13-14) Children will be born in this time without sickness, without pain, without suffering as whole. Death will be sporadic, but not the norm. Isaiah 65:20 4. The 1,000 year millennial kingdom of peace will occur. Revelation 20:1-6 5. Satan will be loosed to deceive a multitude of those born in the millennium, and the final battle for the souls of people born in the millennium will occur. Revelation 20:7-10 6. The righteous men, women, and children who survive the millennial kingdom will enter eternity future in their physical bodies and populate the new earth. Only those who never taste death will be able to reproduce. The 12 tribes of Israel will occupy the lands to the north, south, east, and west of the New Jerusalem according to their gate to enter the city of God and be responsible to bring the nations to worship in the New Jerusalem. Each tribe will be given a month of the year to come and worship partaking of the tree of life and the river of life. They will enter the gate that has their name on it. They will not reside within the city. The holy family, the Father, and the Son, and his Bride will reside in the city. Revelation 21:10-14, 22:1-2 7. The government of Messiah King Jesus, as well as the nations of people will continually grow throughout all of eternity future. The people born in eternity future will have perfect, sinless eternal mortal bodies and will live forever eating of the tree of life and its healing leaves, just as was intended in Genesis 2.
As the Bible began, so it will end...in sinless perfection forever and ever, Amen!
